After falling victim to three Tombstone Piledrivers at the hands of Kane on Raw, Daniel Bryan was diagnosed with a cervical cord neurapraxia — a contusion of the spinal cord which results in numbness and tingling sensations in the arms.
Following the attack, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was stretchered from the ringside area and rushed to the trainer’s room, where he was evaluated by WWE medical personnel. According to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann, Bryan experienced weakness and numbness in both arms, prompting further testing at a nearby medical facility.
“As of the last examination, [Bryan] did have some residual weakness in his arms, however, we expect this to clear up relatively quickly,” Dr. Amann said. “Once he regains his full strength, he will be fully cleared for participation.”
Bryan is currently resting at home, but has said he plans on competing next week on Raw. Stay with us for more updates on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s condition.
